What we build
Websites your customers can read in their language, your staff can update, and that belong to you. This is what a Pista website usually includes; your written list sets out exactly what's in yours.
Made for your business
Custom design
Once you confirm the project, Arabella, our designer, makes three different directions for your home page. You pick the one that feels most like your business, and every other page follows it. No off-the-shelf template.
Chinese and English on every page
Every page exists in both languages, with a switch that takes visitors to the same page in the other one. We translate with AI; you read the result and correct anything before it goes live. Translation costs nothing extra.
Easy to run, day to day
An editor your staff can use
Promotions, listings and stories are yours to change. Your staff update the text and photos themselves in a simple editor. The layout is fixed, so their changes go into the spaces designed for them.
A user guide
When the site is handed over, you get a step-by-step user guide for the editor.
Enquiries straight to your inbox
Every page has an enquiry button, and the form arrives as an email, so there's no new system to check. If your customers prefer WhatsApp, we add a button that opens a chat with you.
Set up for Google, with your old links looked after
Search basics, set up properly
A sitemap, language tags that tell Google which page is in which language, and your site connected to Google Search Console. We don't promise rankings; nobody honestly can. We set your site up so Google can read it.
Redirects from your old site
If you already have a website, its old addresses point to the matching new pages, so old links, bookmarks and search results lead to the right new page.
Taking over from another developer
If someone else looks after your current site, we take it over from them and plan the switch around your email, checking it at each step.
Looked after, and yours
Two review rounds
You review the site twice: first the whole site, then fixes and polish. Each time, you send one full list of changes and we make them. Changes to the agreed pages and content are included; new pages or features are quoted separately.
30 days of free fixes
If something we built doesn't work as agreed in the 30 days after launch, we fix it at no charge. After that, changes are charged by the hour and quoted first.
Reports at month 1 and 3
A one-page report after the first and third months: visitors, clicks to enquire, forms sent, and where your visitors came from. We measure these numbers; we don't promise them.
Every account in your name
Hosting, the editor and Google Search Console are set up in your name, with Pista added as a member. The site, the content and the design are yours, and the code is handed over to you.
No monthly fee from Pista
Small sites usually fit the free plans of Cloudflare (hosting) and Sanity (the editor). If your site ever needs a paid plan, you hear the cost first and decide.
Not included
So your quote holds no surprises, these are outside the standard offer.
Online shops, bookings and payments
We don't build these. If you need one, we'll tell you at the start.
Writing and photos
Your text and photos come from you. If you'd like help writing, we can quote it separately.
Google Ads
Setting up and running ads isn't part of the website.
Promised rankings or enquiry numbers
No one can honestly promise these. We promise what's on your written list, and show you the real numbers.
New things mid-project
New pages or features that aren't on your list go on a “later list”, quoted separately.
Two languages, both done properly
If some of your customers read Chinese more easily than English, one translated home page or an automatic translate button isn't enough. They notice straight away. This is what a Pista site does instead.
Every page, not just the home page.Your services, your listings and your contact page all exist in Chinese and English.
The same page in the other language. The switch keeps visitors where they are, instead of sending them back to the start.
Words your customers use.AI gives a good first draft. You, or someone on your team, read it and change the words your customers actually say.
A proper Chinese typeface.Chinese text is set in a font designed for it, at a size that's comfortable on a phone.
Labelled for search engines. Each page tells Google which language it's in and where its twin in the other language is.
